All the reservations, you had hitherto upon seeing or hearing that the
holy Pushkar Lake has no water at all, will now be vanished. The
average monsoon this time will ensure adequate water in the lake on
account of the eliminations of all the blockages, which once existed
in the path of the rain water from Nag hills to the lake. Credit goes
to the endeavours put in to restore the lake under the National Lake
Conservation Mission, which have transformed it to the amazement of
all those fascinated with the lake. This endeavour of the Environment
ministry will not only stimulate both local and international tourism
in Pushkar but resume the faith and belief of the Hindu devotees in
the land of Brahma, which once ended up disappointed seeing it parched
and dug up.
Undertaken jointly by the state and the central governments, the
project under the mission worth 45 crores envisaged the construction
of 4 feeders of 20 kilometers and 14 paccka water tanks with water in
them through artificial filling to protect the sanctity of the land by
keeping the faith of the visiting Hindu devotees intact by enabling
them to have the holy dip.
Nestled amidst the picturesque Nag hills, the adventure loving
tourists are savouring the bike riding in the roads built around the
lake. I welcome all the Facebook users on this land of Lord Brahma,
the creator god of Hindu mythology……..
